Sponsored Post: Lacoste & Littlewoods

29.3.12

This is a sponsored post. You know, so we can support our needs. Like doing this.

While Lacoste definitely reminds us of our middle school days where the cool kids, who weren’t actually really that cool at all, would wear their crocodile Lacoste polo shirts to impress people (shhh, don’t tell anyone that I totally did that too), the design of their current ready to wear collection is seriously cool—a wearable form of fashion forward styles. Lacoste’s signature sporty look works for Spring 2012’s techno-athletic trend that emphasizes both form and function. Wearing a sneaker with a more sophisticated outfit looks effortless, modern, and a bit irreverent. There are some awesome monochrome options of Lacoste sneakers from Littlewoods.com that would work for the look.

The modernization of Lacoste comes through not only in their fashion efforts, but also their business fronts. The brand's expansion moves its web presence into Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and more countries soon, according to realwire.com. With this relaunch of business and fashion working together, we're excited to see where Lacoste takes their newfound forward moving style. Check out some of our picks from Littlewoods' Lacoste collection below.

At Marni at H&M

Sorry there's barely any pictures of our purchases. Outfit post and a separate piece for the accessories will be up soon! What did you get?

Dots, Patterns, Plastic. Oh My!

27.2.12

Here are some of our favorite pieces from the Marni at H&M collection. Trying to keep the spending reasonable, but in this situation, it's obviously a “buy now, think return later” kind of mindset. Iris is excited for the bright plastic accessories, which are priced amazingly for what they are; Daniel is is in need of the leather jacket-shirt hybrid.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you American fashion plates! We're risking cheesiness, but we wanted to thank all of you who read our blog! It's great getting to know you through comments or twitter @replies. Hopefully you're having a great day, even if you read this two days late (holiday and sales!). Seriously let us know how your Black Friday went in the comments after you go shopping, we'd love to read some stories.
Speaking of shopping stories, here's a little recap on our Versace for H&M experience. We made the mistake of getting to the line a little too close to opening time, but in actuality there weren't that many people there. However, those who were bought bags and bags of stuff, leaving us with nothing to really buy. From that moment on, it was as if everything was a sign from the heavens. (Signs from the heavens mean you must take advantage of anything you get your hands on, and buy it—or trade it for something you want.) Grabbing the last black coat on the rack was almost a holy experience, considering the entire men's collection was wiped out by the time we got in the store. Crazy.
Some group of people had the brilliant idea of getting pieces from the fitting room and holding on to them until they left the store. Luckily, we got to grab the palm tree skirt from them when they came to the waiting line to pass out the pieces they didn't buy. Considering that a sign from the heavens, obviously.
P.S. Daniel here. Suffering from pink-suit-sadness. Didn't even get to see it through a window, so if anyone wants to cure my pain and return one to the San Diego Fashion Valley H&M, I'd love that. hahaha.

Misleading Amount of Bags

20.11.11

These are our outfits that we wore to shop for Versace for H&M. Everything was basically sold out by the time we got into the store but clever trading and finding random things people put down got us some nice stuff! We'll post more about what we got later this week with outfits, but obviously the amount of bags here are completely misleading. Some of these bags are extra ones we found while shopping and one of them just has a book in it-what can we say, we love some fancy packaging.
Daniel: American Apparel coat and trousers, Hanes sweatshirt, H&M polo and necklace, Oxford Dr. Martens/Nike sneakers
Iris: Target dress, Thrifted pleated pink shirt and shoes, Kohl's necklace, H&M white hat
