Menswear Spring/Summer 2013: London Fashion Week

15.6.12

The first London Fashion Week(end) for menswear started today and it's great to finally be back into the show-watching routine. Above are a few of our favorite shows so far. The first one is from Xander Zhou, a collection that was perfection all the way through, progressing from voluminous whites to fresh lavenders and ending with rich layering all punctuated with amazing platform sandals and shoes. Lou Dalton is in the center and the influence of the school boy tribe-vibe that Raf sent out in Fall 2012 definitely shows in this baseball-inspired collection. The rising rise of the hemlines had a moment in every show so far, and the slim silhouette here was a favorite. On the far right is Martine Rose, a show that blended weird and wearable extremely well. Foamy, sorbet colored neoprene accenting the pale washed out denim made dad jeans something to desire.
